Getting started
Finblade is one workspace for working with AI on your organisation's data: chat with an assistant that can read your files, automate multi-step work on a visual canvas, and publish the results as apps and dashboards for your team.
The modules at a glance
| Module | What you do there | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Chat AI | Ask questions, attach files and databases, get answers with sources, charts and generated documents | Chat AI |
| Workflow AI | Build automations on a canvas — or describe them to the assistant — run them, schedule them, share them | Workflow AI |
| Apps | Everything you have built, in one place: published apps, dashboards and extracted databases | Apps, Dashboard, Databases |
| Studio | Ask the assistant to build a live web page — a dashboard, a report, a tracker — from your data | Studio |
| My Data | Upload documents, import from SharePoint, connect SQL databases, organise and share files | My Data |
| Connections | Let the assistant use external services (GitHub, Notion, your own systems) with your login | Connections |
| Dedicated Agent | Your own always-on agent that remembers across chats, runs scheduled jobs and whole tasks | Dedicated Agent |
Everything you can do in the app is also available to scripts and integrations through the API.
Signing in for the first time
- Open the web app (your administrator will give you the address — typically
https://app.<your-company-domain>). - Enter your work email and press Continue. Finblade works out how your organisation signs in:
- Password — enter it, then, if your organisation uses two-factor authentication, the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- Continue with Microsoft / Continue with Google — single sign-on with your company account.
- Sign in with Passkey — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key, once you have added a passkey to your account.
- The first time you sign in you may be asked to set up two-factor authentication (scan a QR code with any authenticator app) and you will receive a recovery code by email. Keep it safe: it is the only way to recover your encrypted chat history if you forget your password.
Details, including registration and account recovery, are in Signing in & security.
Finding your way around
- Sidebar (left) — the modules. Collapse it with the arrow at the bottom; on small screens it becomes a menu.
- Profile menu (top right) — My Profile (personal details, preferences, security, usage, billing) and Log out.
- Settings (gear at the bottom of the sidebar) — language (English / العربية), light or dark appearance, notifications, and a form to send feedback or report a bug.
- Notifications — access requests for your documents, files that need attention, and what colleagues shared with you.
Finblade is bilingual. Switch between English and Arabic from the settings menu; the layout flips to right-to-left and generated content follows your Language preference.
Some modules — Workflow AI, Studio and the Analytics board — need a large screen and are hidden on phones.
A five-minute tour
- Ask something. Open Chat AI, type a question, press Enter. Try the suggestions on the empty chat: research a topic with cited sources, draft an email, summarise a document.
- Give it your data. Open My Data, drag a PDF onto the page. It is uploaded and trained (indexed) in the background — the status badge turns to Trained when the file is ready. Back in Chat AI, use the paperclip to attach it and ask a question about it.
- Automate it. Open Workflow AI and describe an automation to the assistant in the right-hand panel ("every Monday, search the web for competitor news and email me a summary"). It builds the workflow on the canvas; press Run to try it, Schedule to make it recurring.
- Publish it. Save the workflow as an app (Appify) and it appears under Apps for anyone you share it with — a simple form instead of a canvas.
- See it on a dashboard. Charts produced by workflows or by the assistant can be pinned to a Dashboard board, filtered, and discussed with the assistant.
Where things are stored
- Files live in your organisation's private storage and are indexed for search; nothing leaves the platform unless a workflow you build sends it somewhere (an email, a webhook).
- Chat messages in Chat AI are encrypted in your browser with a key only you hold — see Signing in & security.
- Deleted documents and workflows go to a trash for 30 days before they are removed for good.
Getting help
Your organisation's Finblade administrator manages users, single sign-on and plans. To report a problem or suggest an improvement, use Feedback / bug in the sidebar settings menu — it goes straight to the product team with the page you were on.
